LOW-POO para iniciantes - LOW-POO for beginners

→ (English version just below portuguese version!!)😉

E aí vem a grande descoberta!

• Sodium Laureth Sulfate
• Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate
• Sodium Myreth Sulfate
• Sodium Lauryl Sulfate / Sodium laurilsulfate
• Sodium Coco Sulfate
• Sodium Trideceth Sulfate
• Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
• Ammonium Laureth Sulfate
• Ammonium Lauryl Ether Sulfate
• Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate
• TEA Lauryl Sulfate
• TEA-dodecylbenzenesufonate
• Sodium Alkybenzene Sulfonate
• Ammonium Xylenesulfonate
• Sodium Xylenesulfonate
• Sodium Trideceth Tridecyl polyoxyethylene sodium sulfate
• Sodium Tridecyl Sulfate ETHER Ethanol
• Sodium Tridecyl TRI (oxyethyl)
• Sodium Sulfate Coconut
• Lauryl sulfate
• Ammonium laureth
• TEA dodecylbenzenesulfonate
• Alkylbenzene Sulphonate
• Ammonium Xylenesulfonate
• Sodium Sylenesulfonate

Low-Poo for lay and beginners!

Hello guys!

Who has heard about LOW-POO? A philosophy for hair care that aims to maintain its natural health. Who created this philosophy of care was a beautiful girl with curly hair named Lorraine Massey. Lover of hers curls, she decided to research and discovered that some components of the hair products formula are responsible for dry, heavy, frizz and lifeless hair. She has become an international reference on curly hair care, wrote the book "Curly Girl, The Handbook," has created her own brand of products, DevaCurl, and has been teaching women to be happier with their well-treated curls. But girls with straight hair like me also can adhere to the technique to have healthier hair!

Finally let's talk about Low-Poo, which is the way to wash hair with less chemistry and less foam, but ensuring the cleaning and hydration of it. The common shampoos besides cleaning, removes the hair oiliness necessary to avoid the hair strands dryness. Its continuous use mainly affects dry hair, whether curly or straight. And here comes the great discovery! SULPHATES, a substance that help shampoos to form foam, are the villains that remove this natural oil from the hair strands, leaving them even more dry. According to Lorraine Massey, "foam is not the cleaner". Even though my straight hair, I decided to join Low-Poo, and I can already see results. Much less frizz and brighter !! But this has made me crazy and blind! Yes, blind !! From reading so many tiny letters to knowing the composition of everything I use in my hair. Some shampoos already indicate on the label that they are released for Low-Poo, but if it have no warning about the technique, you have to check in the formula. So pay attention to the prohibited components for Low-Poo:

PROHIBITED Sulfates for Low-Poo

• Sodium Laureth Sulfate
• Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate
• Sodium Myreth Sulfate
• Sodium Lauryl Sulfate / Sodium laurilsulfate
• Sodium Coco Sulfate
• Sodium Trideceth Sulfate
• Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate
• Ammonium Laureth Sulfate
• Ammonium Lauryl Ether Sulfate
• Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate
• TEA Lauryl Sulfate
• TEA-dodecylbenzenesufonate
• Sodium Alkybenzene Sulfonate
• Ammonium Xylenesulfonate
• Sodium Xylenesulfonate
• Sodium Trideceth Tridecyl polyoxyethylene sodium sulfate
• Sodium Tridecyl Sulfate ETHER Ethanol
• Sodium Tridecyl TRI (Oxyethyl)
• Sodium Sulfate Coconut
• Lauryl sulfate
• Ammonium laureth
• TEA dodecylbenzenesulfonate
• Alkylbenzene Sulphonate
• Ammonium Xylenesulfonate
• Sodium Sylenesulfonate

But there is a detail! Non-sulfate shampoos are not able to remove petroleum by-products, called PETROLATES, present in some creams, conditioners, leave-in, and therefore are also prohibited for Low-Poo. These substances promote a surface film in hair strands, but do not penetrate or treat them. They only give a momentary appearance of shine and softness, like a make-up. They form a barrier and prevent other substances penetrate the hair to treat them, and their buildup leaves the hair looking heavy and motionless. Therefore, to condition the hair after the Low-Poo wash, it is important to pay attention to the forbidden components (remembering that some products make it easy indicating Low-Poo on the label):

Petrolatos:

• Petrolatum / petrolatum
• Mineral Oil / mineral oil
• Parafinum Liquid / liquid paraffin
• Isoparaffin
• C13-14 Isoparaffin
• C12-20 Isoparaffin
• Vaseline / Vaseline
• Isododeecane / Isododecene
• Alkane / Alcano
• Dodecane / Dodecano
• Dodecene / Dodecene

And No-Poo? This is a philosophy for those who do not use shampoo at all, or only very sporadically. But this is not for me! I have very thin hair and oily in the roots. I need shampoo at least twice a week. And how to wash the hair with No-Poo? They do Co-Wash, using conditioners released for the technique. But that's a topic for our next chat! For a while, I've made a small selection of some Low-Poo products for you to start getting familiar with the technique.
